Dear Susmita Sen, Thank you for the question
Weight gain or weight loss entirely does not depend on one particular food, ingredient or cuisine it involves multiple factors such as Dietary intake, lifestyle pattern, metabolic conditions, genetics, stress etc.
Fruits are good source of minerals, essential vitamins & fiber. Fiber in your meals can potentiate the satiating property, suppress excess hunger and control food intake. Fruits can be consumed throughout the day, in between meals and as snacks. A well-balanced diet consists of minimum 5 serving of vegetables and 1 serving of fruit in a day.
Milk is a good source of calcium and protein, it is necessary to include milk in your daily balanced diet as to avoid and skeletal ailments, low Bone mineral density etc. However, one of the most common reasons for medical suggestions that require a person not to consume milk is presence of lactose intolerance.
Lactose intolerance is a condition in which there is a deficiency or absence of the enzyme ‘lactase’ which helps breakdown lactose present in milk. It is often seen in infants and children but may also be prevalent in adults. The most common symptoms of lactose intolerance include Nausea, Abdominal cramps, Flatulence, Diarrhea, Bloating, Urgency with bowel moments etc. Lactose intolerance can also be known as inability to digest milk protein.
