I am facing rectocele condition and have severe constipation
4 months ago
Dear Beena, Thank you for the question
Rectoceles are a type of pelvic organ prolapse where there is a herniation (bulge) of the front wall of the rectum into the back wall of the vagina. They usually occur due to the thinning of the rectovaginal septum (the tissue between the rectum and vagina) and weakening of the pelvic floor muscles. Difficulty with evacuation during a bowel movement is one of the common symptoms seen in such a condition, therefore it is very important to have a good bowel regimen in order to avoid constipation and straining with bowel movements.

Constipation can be due to inadequate fiber and water intake, it may also be a symptom of gastrointestinal digestive issues such as indigestion, IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), intolerances etc., and/or due to an underlying health condition which requires medical attention. Some other causes that can lead to constipation include neglecting urge to defecate, irregular meals, excess stress etc. For further diagnosis and assistance kindly contact your specialized health care professional.
